When they consulted their wives, they also agreed, believing that killing her was the only way to end the constant misfortune in their home.</p>

Early the next morning, a man was washing clothes by the riverbank. Seeing what he thought was a girl floating in the water, he wanted to save her, but the water was so deep that he couldn't save her.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Suddenly, a voice echoed from the severed head in the river, boosting the man's courage. The voice said, "Do not be afraid. Save me from here, and I promise you that wherever you place your foot, I will create a step for you." As the man entered the river, a miracle truly happened&mdash;stairs appeared beneath his feet with every step he took.</p>
<p dir="ltr">When he reached the middle of the river and lifted what he thought was a girl, he was shocked to find it was a severed head. The head spoke again: "Do not worry, I am a divine form. Establish me upon a stone at a beautiful, sacred place." To the man, this was nothing short of a miracle&mdash;a severed head giving him directions, building stairs for him, and promising his safety. He realized she was a Goddess.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Once established on the stone, the Goddess revealed everything about her past. She told the story of how her own brothers had killed their only sister.
